THE BOCA 45 EXPERIENCE LIVE FROM MAY 06
Boca45 has always kicked it big style on the turntables, from block party hip hop, super raw funk, and his famed '45s only sets.

Now though, Boca takes it up a level and proudly presents 'The Boca45 Experience'..

From May 2006 onwards Boca 45 will take to the stage with his vocal collabarators Stepchild and Kelvin Swaby with whom he has formed 'The Boca 45 Experience'. The Experience perform a one hour live show showcasing new Boca45 tracks and a few old favourites such as the Gilles Peterson nominated tune of the year 'In The City' as well as 'Down To Mexico' feat Stepchild and dance floor stormers 'Airdrums' and 'Laffayette Partytime'.

An all out, full flavoured live hipfunk experience with lots of suprises. imagine The Beastie Boy's crossed with Sly Stone on samplers decks n' effects if you can! - now you're getting close!

The Boca 45 Experience are:

Boca 45 has released records on a number of independent labels including Hombre, Illicit, Superslick Stereo Sounds and High Noon Records and Grand Central and is also one half of Dynamo Productions with Portishead tour DJ and Andy Smith. Boca45 dropped 'In The City' featuring McKay the 7" earned him praise from Scruff, Peterson and Lamacq as well as support from Ninja Tune and Tru Thoughts. His first album 'Pitch Sounds' was released on Grand Central late 2004, and since then he has toured the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and all over Europe. While producing his second album 'Vertigo Sounds' on Unique Records, Germany, he has also released two very popular mix CDs 'Boca Plays His 45's' and 'Bocas Jukebox' which were compiled using only strictly 7''/ 45's.

Stepchild is singer-songwriter, B-boy, scratch DJ and hip hop archivist has been has been perfecting his trade since he was 12. Stepchild provided the vocal's to the Boca45 track 'Down To Mexico' as well as two other tracks on 'Vertigo Sounds'. He has been an integral part of the Bristol based funk soul hip hop band 'The Federation' who released albums for Mo Wax records and others. He has made a reputation for himself delivering melodic, sometimes epic newmatic rap and song flow. Stepchild can cut, scratch, sing, rap, beatbox, headspin, but above all he's an entertainer!

Kelvin Swaby is part beatmaker, part vocalist, but all soul. His own eclectic band is known as 'The Heavy', Swaby features on three new tracks on the 'Vertigo Sounds' album. Influenced by The Sonics, Al Green and the Wu Tang Clan, this boy comes into his own when the beats are heavy, raw and downright dirty. Swaby also collaborates with Bristol band, Alpha (signed to Massive Attacks Melonkolik label). Making his debut on their Stargazing album, another opportunity for Swaby to display the versatility of his often dark sense of romanticism.

Boca45's second LP 'Vertigo Sounds' is stuffed with full-flavoured soul and funk, deftly coupled with crunchy, hip hop beats and b-boy breaks - but more than that, it is an incredibly versatile album which can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere and by anyone.

People alL over the world can enjoy Boca 45 at the following dates & venues - With Scott making sure his hometown gets a look in - his official album launch is 11th November at Native in Bristol.

45 KINGS
Boca hosts a new monthly night at Native, Bristol, UK 45 Kings inspired by his mix CD's - Boca's Juke box/Bocaplayshis45's and other 45 only mixes such as Brainfeeze and Product Placement.. The night will feature guests each month. The music policy is simple - anything goes as long as it's on a 7''/ 45 format! Expect to hear everything from heavy funk, hip hop, 60's soul, ska, dub, rock, punk, pop and anything else which will make you dance your socks off!! The 1st guest is Boca's partner in Dynamo Productions 'Andy Smith'.
